- About Us
I was pleased to learn recently that Forbes magazine has named Covenant Health to its 2018 list of America’s Best Employers for Diversity. We are one of just three Tennessee companies to make the national list, which includes 250 organizations representing all industry sectors. The designation marks the third year in a row that Forbes has named Covenant Health to one of its Best Employers lists.
The Forbes rankings are based on surveys of employees across the U.S. The Best Employers for Diversity ranking was based on feedback about age, gender equality, ethnicity, and general diversity; and diversity among leaders based on the percentage of women in top positions, among other criteria.
The demographic makeup of our organization reflects the communities we serve and contributes to the strength of Covenant Health. Our employee population also includes people of many ages — we benefit from both the experience of long-time employees and the fresh perspective of new team members. And like many healthcare organizations, we have outstanding women serving in leadership roles in our health system and on our board of directors.
As we approach the July 4 holiday, I also want to recognize and thank our many military veterans who work at Covenant Health. The health system is proud to support community programs for veterans such as participating in We Honor Veterans through Covenant Hospice and our sponsorship of HonorAir Knoxville.
In our pledge of excellence, we promise to work together to make Covenant Health the first and best choice. That includes a welcoming environment for employees who want to help fulfill our health system’s mission and who are committed to excellence in everything they do. I am grateful for each employee’s contribution to the success of Covenant Health.
